How Claude’s usage limits work

There’s no fixed message count on any plan. According to Anthropic’s pricing page, every plan has a limit that resets on a rolling five-hour window, and paid plans add a weekly limit on top.

Switching between Pro and Max

Upgrading mid-month charges only the difference for the rest of your billing period, according to Anthropic’s Max plan help page.
